Author or Writer? The difference between the two.
There really is a line that separates, albeit tenuously, an author from a writer.
Whether by the definition of the words themselves or by the purpose inherent to each one, author and writer have their due place.
We are all, in a certain way, authors: of books, music, paintings, buildings, ways of being, among other things.
Any work of a scientific or artistic nature, whatever its type, needs a creator. In other words, an author.
On the other hand, a writer is a person who is the author of literary or scientific works.
An author can be a writer, but a writer must necessarily be an author.

In my mentoring programs, I choose to use the term author. That is, author mentoring programs.
The reason is that the people I help are not only authors of books, but also have a new mentality and even a new way of being in life.
Now that you know the difference, ask yourself the following question: do you want to be an author or a writer? This question is a great exercise you can do to understand where you are.
