When we hear about a successful author, we immediately think of someone who has sold thousands of copies. But there is something behind this success.
However, I have another perspective: that the many sales come as a result of the mindset that this author has developed.
Being successful is much more than a sales process. It's a way of life.
- A successful author stands by his message because he knows that the responsibility is largely his.
- A successful author takes risks, as staying in his comfort zone will not make him grow.
- A successful author sees a book as a starting point for something bigger, not the end point;
- A successful author recognizes success in himself, since it is the result of his commitment.
These are just some of the attitudes of a successful author. Someone who is willing to do what needs to be done so that their book helps more and more people.
On the other hand, we have the daily habits that support the mindset of a successful author. And, based on the bestselling authors I know and with whom I have shared some moments, I present to you five of these habits:
1) Set aside time for your book
Scheduling daily time for your book is a great way to stay consistent in your writing.
2) Read every day
One of the best ways to gain perspective and develop your writing skills is through reading.
3) They provoke curiosity
Staying curious is a great way to see the different alternatives for the work. It's about testing solutions.
4) Organize your information
Keeping information organized means you can find it whenever you need it. It’s also a great way to gain clarity and clear your mind.
5) Visualize
Using creativity to visualize the book as it happens, as well as the book already written and published, is to fuel motivation.
O mindset of a successful author is something that develops with practice, consistency, and some resilience.
Nobody is born successful.
A successful author builds himself.
